About

I’ve always been fascinated by the way figures move. I’m not particularly interested in details - I want to paint only part of the story. The rest is up to the viewer. I would like people to find their own story in my paintings.

It’s the same with landscapes. I’m interested in the gestural quality of trees, the energy of the wind and the sea, and of course the play of light and colour.

I paint with oils or acrylics, working from life, photographs, or most often from memory or my imagination. I have sketched or painted on and off all of my life, mostly learning from experience.
